N942: Hexagonal Chalcedony/Diamond Pendant

Most colorful chalcedonies are semi-translucent to opaque.  This beautiful gem is transparent, with a darker violet blue border and lighter color in the center.  The hexagonal shape is highly unusual with professional faceting full around the border.  I love the way the designer positions her 4 diamonds as well as provides a soft reflective matte finish on their settings and pendant loop atop.

18k yellow gold cable chain, 18 inches long with spring ring clasp… and pendant, total 20 inches long.   Violet-blue hexagonally cut chalcedony (the same mineral that gives us onyx and agates…..16mm by 12mm), with 3 diamonds on the bottom and one atop, total weight.10 carat.
