N820: Diamond, Yellow Gold Pendant Necklace

Many years ago, I began to laser my diamonds, so that I could slip them onto a small yellow or white gold or platinum chain. In this way, the diamond dangles as part of the necklace, but requires no prongs or extra metal to hold it in place. Because I use exceptionally well cut diamonds for this necklace and because of the way the diamond is set, the size, brilliance, fire and sparkle of the diamond may be seen by all. This is a really beautiful way to display a diamond intentionally cut to explode its light to our eyes.

14k yellow gold oval link chain, 18 inches long; lobster claw clasp; 1 round diamond, .24 carat, F color; laser drilled on two sides in order to slip through and be held by the chain.
